I reside in Newbury Park and have been a home-based entrepreneur since 1998. I am married to a self-employed software developer and have two beautiful daughters (6th grade and 9th grade), two dogs and four cats. I am a native Michigander and graduated from Michigan State University. I worked in the Retail industry and the Hotel and Restaurant industry for almost twenty years. Before leaving Corporate America for a more fulfilling lifestyle, I was lucky to have traveled all over the US as a buyer for a major department store and I have lived in Florida, Tennessee, and Massachusetts.

Moving to Southern California was the perfect move for my family.  Bright Apple Tutoring keeps me busy.  We service clients from Ojai to Sherman Oaks, including Moorpark and Simi Valley.  I have consulted with more than 1,000 families and successfully placed tutors with the children.  I am a member of the Westlake Village/Thousand Oaks Chamber of Commerce and the Better Business Bureau where I have maintained an A+ rating.

My other company, Home Tutoring Business teachs others how to begin a tutor referral service in their community. As of July, 2009, I have mentored 112 individuals throughout the U.S. and Canada establish their one-on-one, in-home tutoring businesses.

In my spare time I am usually training for a 10K or a half-marathon, working out with my wonderful personal trainer, hiking the mountains with my family and enjoying reading a good book.
