“I can't thank you and your staff enough for the difference you have made in my family's life. Homework has always been a difficult time in our household. Since starting your service the fights and "meltdowns" have virtually disappeared. BJ struggles with writing and I am so impressed with the strides BJ has made since starting with the afternoon tutoring. In the first 6 months his spelling improved by 5.6 years (as tested by the school KTEA). We also have notice great improvement in his writing legibility. In the past it has been almost impossible to read BJ's handwriting. Now, although it is not perfect, most of his teachers can read what he has written. Also, his grades have gone from a "C" average to a high "B" average. Dave has really works with BJ on what is hardest for him and challenges BJ every day to make his work better.

My daughter Kirstyn failed math every quarter last year. She was discouraged and convinced that she couldn't do math.

Last week after taking her first math test of the year in 8th grade, she made the highest grade in the class. Yesterday, as we were coming home from school, she actually admitted she liked math and that it was not as hard as she thought.

Eva, her tutor has gone over and beyond my expectations when it comes to helping Kirstyn. During the summer, Eva went to Cal Lutheran University to locate Kirstyn mathbook so she could help her with relevant work. So far, Eva has downloaded Kirstyn's math assignments from the computer and reviews them with her. She is willing to work with her Math teacher if warranted. I think the re-inforcement and assistance that Eva has provided has not only helped Kirstyn catch up on math skills that she missed in previous years but has assisted Kirstyn with a new confidence for math.
